Thank You

Thank you, Mama Fina for watching me grow. Thank you for the grand amount of patience you have had for me within the 17 years of my life. A huge part of who I am has been shaped by you. You've dealt with my cries, dirty diapers, attitude, temper tantrums and everything that goes into raising a child. You've shown me what it is to be a women during each and every era of growth that I stepped into.

I'm grateful to hear all your childhood stories and to hear you passionately sing your favorite songs that you once heard as a teen. Thank you for tickling me, calling me and my siblings funny names, and constantly making me laugh. Without you I wouldn't be as into my culture as I am now. Thank you for teaching me how to speak Spanish, because without it I wouldn't be able to communicate with you or other family members. I'm very blessed to have you in my life as not only my great grandma, but a mother figure.

These are two pictures that I have taken this semester. The photo on the left was towards the beginning of the year. It was our assignment titled "Shadows" where we took pictures of shadows that we saw around school campus. The photo on the right is from our assignment where we took photos of the dance team at the nature center.
