Although I stayed local this Christmas break I still had a really enjoyable and relaxing time. I spent a lot of my time working at the Irvine park railroad where we held a busy Christmas event. Our Christmas event is a 3 week long event with different activity games like cookie decorating, ice fishing, carnival games and more. We also have delicious foods and a train ride to see Santa. I worked mainly night/closing shifts which were very freezing nights, but nothing I couldn't get through. It was definitely a task dealing with customers but with the Christmas spirit, I pulled through.
During the break I also decided to pamper myself and treat myself to getting my nails done. It had been awhile since I had last changed them, I even had old broken ones still on my fingers. I decided to semi step out of my comfort zone and get a longer set of nails with a more of a bling to it. After trying so hard to find a nail salon that I was satisfied with the result, I finally found it. This place worked really well I loved the shaping and design and it was very cozy environment.
I celebrated my grandpas two year anniversary since he's left us, we got together as a family to celebrate his life even tho he is no longer here with us. We know he is always watching over us laughing and listening to his favorite music. This day we also cut the Rosca for El Dia de los Reyes. This is a circle shaped sweet bread that has 3 mini plastic babies in it and if you cut your slice with the baby in it, it indicates that they need to make tamales, as my family says. Along with the celebration of life, we also celebrated my great grandmas birthday as a family. We really wanted to do something special because you never know what surprises life will bring. Tomorrow is not promised, hug your loved ones a little tighter while you still have the chance to and never take anything for granted.
Of course the biggest day, the reason for this break. Christmas. I spent Christmas eve with my dad and Christmas day with my mom. I celebrated with my dad and his family at my grandmas house, eating delicious food, watching movies and listening to music conversating with one another. With my mom we took the two hour drive to San Jacinto to spend Christmas day with my aunt at her house. We spend the day eating more great foods, riding electric scooters, doing a gift exchange and seeing Panda, my grandpas dog that he loved so dearly. Attactched below are some of the gifts I received such as comfortable fluffy slides in the prettiest style. As well as multiple film cameras because my family knows how obsessed I am taking photos with them.
